Infectious diarrhea can be caused by viruses, bacteria or parasites. One of the most common cause of acute viral gastroenteritis in adults is caused by Sapovirus (SapoV), a positive strand RNA virus with a high genomic variability. SapoV are classified into 7 genogroups (GG), from which GI, GII, GIV and GV are known to infect humans.
1 Vial orange cap 96 reactions SapoV (lyophilized)
1 Vial black cap Positive Control (RNA), Cp-value ~ 30
Additional Reagents required
LightCycler® Multiplex RNA Virus Master
A 110-119 bp long fragment from the capsid protein VP1 gene is amplified with specific primers and detected with a mixture of two Cyan500 labeled hydrolysis probe (500 channel) representing GGI to GGV
