The great benefits of RealTime ready:

  • Achieve high specificity using intron-spanning assays based on LNA-substituted short hydrolysis probes from the Universal ProbeLibrary.
  • Rely on stringently tested qPCR assays and novel error-detection features provided on each custom panel to be compliant with MIQE guidelines.
  • Benefit from complete assay details, including primer sequences, UPL probe number, location of the assay on the transcript, and other valuable bioinformatics content.
  • Get the complete picture and discover the full functionality of your targets in complex biological pathways, and reveal their influence on processes leading to diseases or disorders.

Assay Design Characteristics

RealTime ready Assays are designed using the proprietary ProbeFinder Software, which is based on optimized and verified algorithms. For a particular gene, the most representative transcript is chosen for assay design. This ensures comprehensive coverage of most known splice variants of a certain gene. Most RealTime ready Assays are intron-spanning, enabling reliable quantification unbiased by genomic DNA residues in the sample material.

Assay Details

For each RealTime ready Assay, the RealTime ready Configurator provides the following information:

  • Accession ID of the transcript for which the assay was designed
  • Exact position of the primers and probe on the selected transcript, as well as variants that are also detected by the assay
  • Amplicon length
  • Intron/exon boundaries for intron-spanning assays
  • Primer sequence and UPL probe number (provided upon assay delivery)
