The MagNA Pure 24 Total Nucleic Acid Kit eliminates unnecessary complexity by enabling efficient extraction of nucleic acids from 10 human sample types. Rely on this simplified reagent concept and choose one of the pre-optimized and pre-programmed protocols to extract up to 24 samples, plus:

  • Mix batch sample types and primary tubes within one protocol
  • Run sample volume inputs ranging from 200 µL to 4 mL
  • Reuse reagent cassettes for later use by sealing them
  • Let the system identify and track reagent usage with on-board barcode scanning
  • Expand your applications with a multitude of compatible external lysis buffers
  • Extract 8 samples in about 30 minutes with the fast protocols

MagNA Pure 24 Total NA Isolation Kit contains prefilled and ready-to-use reagent cassettes, that can be easily loaded into their stations, and single use magnetic glass particles (MGPs) vials, that can be easily loaded into the reagent racks. Additional MGPs and external lysis buffers can be ordered separately to enhance your extraction workflow. A variety of targets from a wide range of sample types can be extracted efficiently on the MagNA Pure 24 System using one kit and one protocol in the same run. The different protocols are optimized for the following human sample materials:

  • Whole blood
  • Plasma
  • Serum
  • Nasopharyngeal/nasal swabs
  • Bronchoalveolar lavage
  • Urine
  • Stool
  • Cultured cells
  • Fresh-frozen tissue
  • FFPET - formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue


Each kit is comprised of 3 sealed reagent cassettes and 12 magnetic glass particle (MGP) tubes. All kit components are ready-to-use. One reagent cassette can be used for up to 6 individual runs on the same instrument within 28 days. For storage after first use, seal the reagent cassettes using the MagNA Pure Sealing Foil.

MGP tubes are for single use only.

The MagNA Pure 24 Total NA Isolation Kit is designed to isolate nucleic acids (NA) from different sample materials and different sample volumes as shown in the following table:

The isolated and purified nucleic acids meet the quality standards required for highly sensitive quantitative PCR/RT-PCR analysis and next-generation sequencing.

The kit is designed to perform up to 96 isolations depending on the processed sample volume. Each kit has 3 cassettes and each cassette can perform 32 small or 24 large/extra-large volume isolations.
